We have had awesome week, with some fantastic learning happening with the launch of our Inquiry on Tuesday. We had fun learning about the Pony Express, Morse code, Hieroglyphics and Virtual Reality and how communication has changed over time.
We was great to see how much our students learnt and retained from the day, when we reflected on Wednesday.
Assembly is this Friday 9.10am
It has been great to see our students coming in each day ready for learning.
This is the email that was sent home yesterday:
As teachers we often have after school meetings and we are not available to supervise students. The school rule is to head to the yellow benches by the office to wait for parents. Some of our students have younger siblings in Whakarewa, we ask that these children also go to the yellow benches. The reason for this is that the students in Whakarewa wait on the playground for their parents as this is a safe place, if we have siblings going over there, there becomes to many children in a small area and this can be overwhelming for the younger students.
Gala is Friday 20th March. Please check out the Gala information that was added to the school app and emailed out this week.
This information below was emailed out to our parents yesterday:
As you all know the Gala is fast approaching, once again this year Tuhura families are asked if they could please contribute to the bake sale.
It would be great if every child from Tuhura could provide something to be sold at Gala, this could be some cookies, a cake, slice, fudge or even some chutney or jam, the options are endless, it would be appreciated if there could be some gluten-free items also.
We ask that you could support us by making sure these items are packaged ready for sale, if not we can support this. All items will need to be dropped to the MPF by Friday 20th March by 9 am, please.
A list will go up on the classroom door, if you could please add your name and item of baking you are doing, this provides us with an idea of what to expect on the day and to make sure we get a good range of baking to sell.
If you have any questions please get in touch
