Week five is upon us!
We have had a busy week getting into our literacy and maths sessions. We are still doing some testing to make sure all our students are in the correct groups to support their learning going forward, so some groups may change.
Please keep an eye out for a seesaw post from your child's literacy teacher about what they are focusing on and how you can support this at home.
Have a chat with your child about 'Bliss Time', that we have introduced this week.
We are just putting the last of our Team Treaty together, so this should be up on the wall at the end of the week.
We are planning on doing some science experiments over these next few weeks, so if you have any jars at home with lids, we would love them.
This week we have started an 8 week programme called Pause, Breathe, Smile. This programme is about building resilience, mindful breathing, gratitude, kindness and emotional literacy. This programme supports our conversation around our treaty and how we need to work as a team all the time. We will send home some information, next week, about this programme.
Calling for a gardener!
Is there anyone in our community that would like to help us out in the school garden? Thanks to Zac and Rico's stall, we have money for some winter seedlings and would love to get these in before the weather changes.

Please pop in or email if you have anything you want to chat about.
One of our key focusses this term is how we can Manage Ourselves. One of the biggest things we are noticing is that a lot of our students are very tactile, we are talking lots around how touching others can be annoying. We ask that you please take the time at home to chat with your child also, this will help our tamariki know that we are all working together.
