Kia ora whānau,
We hope everyone is well. Autumn already! Where is the year going?
This term for Inquiry we are looking at 'Change':
Here are some photos from our science session. We showed how we can turn cream and salt into butter.
Here's what you need to know:
• Triathlon Bike training Lunch time Wednesday 11th: Molly will be taking Tūhura children for a practice bike along Heywards road. This gives them a chance to experience what the bike will be like on the day of the Triathlon. Must bring HELMET, BIKE and High Vis (if you have one).
• Wheels days: These are Monday- Wednesday and are days for children to bring scooters, skateboards. Please note that Heelys can only be worn on these days and require helmets.
• Lost hat: Please check school hats at home to ensure they have your child's name on them. Casen Shaw has lost his.
• The enviro group are still on the look out for a keen gardener!
• Gala Bake sale:
As you all know the Gala is fast approaching, once again this year Tuhura families are asked if they could please contribute to the bake sale.
It would be great if every child from Tuhura could provide something to be sold at Gala, this could be some cookies, a cake, slice, fudge or even some chutney or jam, the options are endless, it would be appreciated if there could be some gluten-free items also.
We ask that you could support us by making sure these items are packaged ready for sale, if not we can support this. All items will need to be dropped to the MPF by Friday 20th March by 9 am, please.
A list will go up on the classroom door, if you could please add your name and item of baking you are doing, this provides us with an idea of what to expect on the day and to make sure we get a good range of baking to sell.
If you have any questions please get in touch
Jess - 027 509 2491
Thanks
Jess
